Concept review: Nice Time Glass

Nice Time Glass

For Kate and Haley, Nice Time Glass

Your homepage,
three ways

Concepts by Start Right, not live. Your photos, glass, prices and words; the headlines and buttons are suggested.

Hi Kate and Haley,

Small Business Saturday is November 28 (last year you held your Seconds Sale that day), and only one ornament, the Ridge Ornament, is on your homepage; the Dusted, Optic and Opaque Spotted Ornaments, the pumpkins and the gift card are not there yet. So I sketched three ways your homepage could work this season and after it, each from a different angle: gifts, the gallery, and your lighting.

Every photo, piece of glass, price and quoted line is yours, from nicetimeglass.com. The headlines and button labels are our suggestions, yours to change. Nothing on your site was touched.

Each one uses sections your theme already has, so there is no new theme, no new app and no new monthly cost.

Will Mosley, Start Right, Hendersonville

What all three keep: your logo, your colors, your photography, your menu and your footer. Checkout, your product pages, Faire, your Private Events and Gallery forms and your email list stay exactly as they are.

Reply with A, B or C, or tell me the parts you like from each and I'll combine them.

Your homepage now, on a computer

The first screen and a half, as a visitor sees it today.

What we noticed on the homepage

  • Hours come first, prices after a scroll

The first screen gives your hours and address. The first piece of glass with a price, the Ridge Tall Tumbler at $42, sits below the first screen on a computer and just below it on a phone.

  • The season and the lighting live on other pages

Pumpkins, the gift card, most of your ornaments and your pendants and sconces aren't on the homepage yet. Its one product row shows six Ridge and Archway pieces, the Ridge Ornament among them, with no View all.

  • On a phone, the sign-up covers the page

About ten seconds in, the "Nice Things Come to Those Who Subscribe" form covers more than half of a phone screen, including the Shop button.

Nice Time GlassA of 3Gifts From the Hot Shop

Option A Recommended Concept by Start Right, not live

Gifts From the Hot Shop

Between now and the holidays, many visitors are buying for someone else. A opens on your Dusted Ornaments hanging in front of the words “Handblown gifts.”, then sorts the shop the way gift buyers think: ornaments from $25, gifts by budget, three $42 glasses, pumpkins, the gift card and a holiday visit.

nicetimeglass.com, Option A
Option A on a computer, first screen
Option A on a phone, first screen
  1. The first screen is the gift, with a price and two buttons. Nine of your Dusted Ornaments hang across the screen in front of “Handblown gifts.”, with your line “Elevate your everyday with handblown ornaments!”, Shop ornaments, Give a gift card and the $30 Dusted Ornament by Kathryn Adams. On a phone the price and both buttons still show without scrolling.
  2. Your holiday pieces reach the homepage, large. A gold price ribbon, then four ornaments full height on deep teal from $25, each with its maker and price, and both glass pumpkins with every size and price ($46 to $98).
  3. Gift buyers can shop by budget. Three color blocks, Under $50, $50 and up, and Little extras (Stickers! from $2, the Bottle Opener at $10, the Canvas Tote at $25), so someone with $30 and someone with $100 each have a door.
  4. The gift card gets its own gold band. Your card art, “Let them pick their color.”, and $25, $50, $100 and $500 set large, with one Give a gift card button.
  5. A reason and a route to visit, and the sign-up stops covering the page. Friday to Sunday, 12 to 6, your coffee shop and brewery line, the Go Local 10% offer, Small Business Saturday on November 28 and Get directions, beside your gold sticker. Your sign-up sits in its own section above the footer.

How we'd build it

Built withYour current Shopify theme (Dawn), no new theme or apps: Image banner, Featured collection, Collection list, Image with text, Rich text and Email signup sections, plus a few lines of styling for the big type and the layered first screen.

TimeAbout 7 of the 8 Try a Day hours, with an hour to spare.

Also includedFive new collections (Ornaments, Under $50, $50 and up, Little extras, Glasses to give). After New Year, the page switches to everyday in about 15 minutes.

With your OKThe gift card’s “250” choice set to $250, new first photos on the Dusted, Optic and Ridge Ornament listings so the ornament row matches, and dark text on your gold buttons for easier reading.

Suggested wordingThe headline, the buttons and the section titles are our suggested wording, yours to change. Every photo, product, price and quoted line comes from your site.

Option B Concept by Start Right, not live

Come Have a Nice Time

The homepage as the front door of your gallery and hot shop: your gallery edge to edge with “Come have a nice time.”, the two of you large, the space in big photographs, the Ridge line, the address set as type, and doors to private events and new work.

nicetimeglass.com, Option B

Small things we noticed

Worth a look, whichever version you choose

These are on your live site, checked October 30, 2026. Nothing has been changed; they are yours to decide.

  1. Your refund policy asks customers to get in touch "at [insert email]", so the address itself is still waiting to be filled in.
  2. On the gift card, the amounts read $25.00, $50.00, $100.00, 250 and $500.00, and the "250" choice is priced at $25.00 in the store. Someone picking it may be expecting $250.
  3. The Optic Ornament lists a color called "Citus". The color chart photo on the same page says "Citrus".
  4. The Spotty Body Bud Vase page describes "playful, handblown tumblers" for "your morning juice". It may have come over from the Spotty Body Tumbler page.
  5. The Ridge Tall Tumbler page says the glass "comes in 6 different color ways", and its color choices list 8, including Meadow and Azalea.
  6. Your Contact page reads "Custom Glass, Media Inquires, and more". You may want "Inquiries" there.

Your three options

How it works

Pick A, B or C and we build it for you the same day or the next day.

It's a Try a Day: 8 hours of work for $480, credited toward Start Right Care.

Start Right Care, if you'd like ongoing help: $2,880 a quarter for 16 hours a month across your website, store, marketing, packaging and video.

  • We build your new homepage on a copy of your theme, so your live homepage stays up until you say OK.
  • All we need is a Shopify collaborator request approved (or a staff account), never your password. The same day or next day clock starts when that access arrives.
  • You get before and after screenshots on a phone and a computer when it's done.
Reply with A, B or C, or tell me the parts you like from each and I'll combine them.
