The project
What the work needed to do.
The communication problem
A practice that sells judgment has very little to photograph. There is no product on a shelf and no room full of equipment to walk through, so the case for the business has to be carried by the person making it, on camera, in his own words.
The design approach
A portrait film long enough to let a position develop rather than compress into a slogan, built around the owner talking. Then a second, shorter cut that takes the family side of the same story. Splitting it in two means neither film has to do both jobs, and the short one can run on its own without the longer one behind it.
The work
Two finished films, 4:51 and 3:13.
- Documentary portrait of the owner, 4:51.
- A second cut on family and business, 3:13.
- Titled inside ParentPreneur, Will’s own series on parents building businesses.

One page. Ten items. Three piles.
Sort what you keep putting off into Do, Decide and Drop, write the sentence that makes each one finishable, and put an honest hours guess beside it. Most people find the whole list is smaller than it felt.
